Diamond (34811-d) Pit Bull Terrier Ithaca, NY

Hi, I'm Diamond, an adorable 40 lb. pit bull mix puppy! I am only 11 months old and came to Ithaca from an overcrowded southern shelter. I have been very lucky to spend my time in a fun and loving foster home where I'm getting to learn all about being part of a family. My foster mom says I am super sweet and loving and am so much fun to have around! I love playing with my toys and entertain myself by tossing them in the air and then pouncing on them to make them squeak. I am living with both dogs and cats and think they're all the best friends I've ever had. I would appreciate my new home having a confident dog that likes to play as much as I do. I think a good chase and someone to wrestle with is great fun! So if my new home has a fenced in yard that will give me a safe place to play and burn off some of this puppy energy! Having a dog sibling will also help me learn the ropes in a new home and help me overcome my shyness with new people. If you take it slow I will trust you in no time at all and you'll soon find me sitting with you, asking for belly rubs and ultimately falling asleep in your lap. I am almost trustworthy being left alone at home but my foster mom leaves me in my crate when she goes out so I won't get into any trouble. I don't mind though. I like resting in my crate! I am already housetrained and am learning good manners too. I will sit, lie down, get off, leave things alone and stay put when asked to and will always enthusiastically come running to you when you call my name! Even though I love my foster family I really would like to settle down in a home of my own.
