Meet Dexter
Saying Dex is a lover boy is an understatement… His foster mom said whoever adopts him could not be asking for a better dog! Cuddles and kisses are what he is about. He’s good with other dogs, male and female, young or old. Dexter is also good with cats that are confident. He’d do best with a dog buddy and a fenced-in yard to run and burn energy. Dexter would also enjoy tagging along with a human who’s a jogger or runner. Evenings spent on the couch snoozing in your lap would suit him perfectly!
Dexter is estimated to be about 1-2 years old. He needs more attention on his leash training and basic obedience. When his nose hits the ground, he tends to get stubborn. He is learning “sit” very well and also learning to wait at an open door to not bolt out. Dexter is quiet and hardly barks! The only time he barks is when you come home and he is ready to get out of his crate.
If you’re interested in adopting Dexter, you can apply at savedbyfate.org/adopt and we’ll be in touch as soon as possible. His adoption fee is partially sponsored and only $50!
Dexter could live in an apartment as long as he had a buddy and the opportunity to burn off energy regularly. Homes with a 6 ft fence are preferred as he’s a fence hopped.
A meet with an approved applicant’s current pets would be required before starting the 2-week adoption trial period.
