Meet Dean!

Dean is a Chihuahua mix, but we're not sure what with - possibly Jack Russell and/or Doxie, and/or Corgi? Dean is very young. Maybe only a bit over one year old. He came to the county shelter with his brother, Chips, also posted. Dean has little adorable brown shading wrapped around his eyes, and a cute white spot on his nose. He's a little bit smaller than his brother, Chips. Like his brother, Dean is a super athletic, springy boy who would probably be great at agility, once he has his basic training down.
These two love to be carried and cuddled by their person but they are nervous about meeting some new people. Introductions just need to be done slowly so they can see that they are safe. The boys need continued training and structure, but they especially need leadership and direction. Both boys are very sweet, and they'be make a great pair if they lived with someone who was committed to their training and social interactions, and willing to be a leader! A chaotic lifestyle would not be their ideal home. If they don't go to a home together, they really need to go to a home with another young, active dog.
Adoption Process: We are not first come first served. Indigo Rescue focuses on finding good matches between dogs and families to ensure life long adoptions. We deliver all dogs to their new homes. All of our dogs are in foster homes. PLEASE NOTE: Indigo Rescue only adopts to homes within 30 miles of Portland because our volunteers deliver all of our dogs to their adoptive homes. We work very hard to create a family of our Indigo Rescue adopters because we want to be close enough to help in case there are any problems. We want everyone to be happy and successful!
**ALL of our dogs, puppies, cats, kittens and rabbits come vaccined to their age, spayed/neutered and microchipped.
