Meet Dayton

Dayton has spent a majority of his life behind a kennel door. That's, sadly, because of his past life. Dayton spent over 500 days in a city shelter where he was at risk of losing his life. We pulled him in hopes of rehabing him to be someone's perfect pet. Dayton was anxious, fearful and over stimulated in the kennels at that shelter...here he is relaxed and so much happier. Dayton prefers to be the only pet in the home. He was not socialized as a puppy to people or other animals, so sadly he is a one dog dog. He loves hard once he bonds and will do the absolute most to please and protect. Dayton needs to be in a home where he might not encounter a lot of new people. He does not love to meet strangers. He would do great in wide open spaces with us this human to love. We know that's a tall order to ask for, but we truly believe Dayton has a human out there for him.
