Meet Darwin! Darwin is a fun, playful dog with good manners. He walks nicely on leash and is a hoot to play with. He does have severe allergies and requires a strict hypoallergenic diet, daily medications and medicated baths. Darwin resource guards at the SAINTS sanctuary and will not be a fit for small children or busy homes with lots of visitors. Darwin is not interested in sharing his people with another dog and is not suitable in homes with other small animals, including cats. In the right setting this is a sweet little dog looking for belonging. He is about 8 and has many years of love and affection to give and receive. His ideal family would be one who understands his limitations and would be willing to introduce new people/settings/activities slowly so Darwin can adjust at his own pace. An only pet household would be best! Darwin also has a tendency to bark so some apartments may not be suitable. After whatever turmoil caused Darwin to lose his home(s) in the past, he needs a lifetime commitment moving forward. Darwin has healed from recent dental extractions and cherry eye surgery and is ready to start the next chapter. Is it with you?
