Meet Darcy
Darcy is adorable with the cutest little underbite. She resembles a larger version of Benji and couldn't be more darling !! Not to mention she looks fabulous in her hats! She is approx 1 year old and about 40-45 lbs full grown! She is leash, potty, and crate trained... woo-hoo !!
Darcy loves playing and running in the backyard, fenced of course, and she'll bounce bounce bounce like that silly Tigger! Be sure to allow a little extra time for Darcy lovin' while you're putting on you socks and shoe as that's the time she thinks is perfect to let you know how much she loves and appreciates you! What a lovely goof!
Darcy is good with other dogs both leashed on walks and playing at doggie day care. Darcy would love a house with a fur brother or sister to help her learn the canine ropes, build her confidence and be her companion. She is timid with people until she gets to know them, then she'll give you lots of love and snuggles. Just look at the picture of her on foster dad's lap!
Loud noises and fast movements can startle her, so Darcy's ideal forever home will not have young active children, cats or a lot of entertaining as she prefers a quieter household.
If you are interested in Darcy the first step is to go to our website and fill out an application. www.PlacingPawsRescue.org
ADOPTION FEE: $375.00 The adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, HW test if age appropriate, de-worming, microchip, fecal, spay or neuter, Heartworm and flea and tick preventative.
ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org.
Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possibly. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed. The best way to contact us is by email at placingpaws@yahoo.com. It is very difficult for the limited numbers of volunteers to return all calls. Thank you.
