Meet Daniel AKA Dano! A 1 year, 8 months old shepherd mix, this loving furball is still learning to trust the world around him. He has discovered that he loves head scratches, body rubs, and short bouts of snuggling with his humans so he is seeking affection more regularly.

Dano loves his fluffy blankets and pillows, is very food motivated, and goes after treats like nobody's business (but very well mannered when eating or taking treats from hands).

While still learning to play with toys, Dano tends to go for large kongs and rope balls. He loves to play tug-of-war with his dog foster siblings, and will wrestle for hours. Running around the yard playing chase with the other dogs or just joyfully rolling around in the grass (and snow!) are his favorite past times.

Dano is still learning to trust, but has made great gains in just a few months. He loves his canine foster siblings, and is best friends with his dog savvy feline foster brother.

Dano is not yet a dog that wants to go on walks or car rides. He will spend hours sitting by your feet or close to you on the couch as you read, do house work, homework, or talk on the phone. If binge watching tv is something that you do sometimes, then Dano is your best friend! He loves watching the screen, especially if there are dogs in the show!

Dano is not yet a confident dog, but is learning from his more confident dog foster siblings. He will need a home that has at least one other older dog that can continue to teach him how to engage with his world.

If you are willing to give him ample time and allow him to establish a trusting relationship with you, Dano will continue to flourish into your best friend.
