Dancer Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler & Labrador Retriever Mix Minneapolis, MN

Described as flirty and funny, Dancer is an adorable Australian Cattle Dog mix (maybe with lab?), born early September 2024, 17#. Always looking for an excuse to play with a person, dog friend or toy. Anything that squeaks gets her attention immediately! After a fun play session, she’s ready for a belly rub and cuddle, snuggling in that special puppy way.

Dani, as her foster family calls her, is happy, easy-going and lovable. She brightens each day with a joyful zest for life. Loves exploring the world around her – smelling all the smells and deploying that puppy pounce on unsuspecting toys. Respectful of older dogs, nicely convincing them to play or honoring their wish to be left alone. Adores spending time with the pre-teen girls in her foster home, indulging their giggles with butt wiggles and so many kisses.

The ideal home for Dani wants a dog to be a key member of the family. They will take her to obedience classes, continuing socialization that is so important at this age. They have medium energy to match hers and enjoy time outside each day, soaking up Vitamin D and stretching their legs. Sign her up for building a snowman in winter or camping in summer, visits to Grandma’s house and spectating at a kids’ soccer game.

A typical puppy, Dani is learning every day. Leash walking, potty and crate training and all the other fun things puppies need to know are in process. Well suited for mature families that keep dogs safe on leash; families with younger kids should have a fenced yard for her safety. We know she would love another dog in the home, or she could be an only pup. She hasn’t met a cat yet, but we suspect she would enjoy their company when taught to respect their space.

Dancer is being fostered in Burnsville, MN.

As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We are located in Minnesota and adopt to an area 400 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Dancer's adoption fee is $550 + MN sales tax. She is microchipped and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. She will be spayed at one of the vet clinics we work with at around 6 months of age. The cost of this procedure is included in her adoption fee.

All of our dogs go to their new homes with a collar and harness, leash, starter food, blanket, favorite toys & treats. They are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
