Dakota is under 2 years old and still just a pup. Unfortunately , she has lived her life up until now, tied to a tree in a backyard.
She’s now learning what it means to be a companion dog and discovering the world around her, with a lot of help from GSRNY. She’s a magnificent dog, both in her stunning looks, and her spot on intelligence. With good leadership, she excels.
Dakota needs an experienced home. One that’s dedicated in adjusting her to her new environment and new life.
For someone experienced, she’s right on cue with direction, and a joy to bond with.
Dakota is crate trained, travels well in a car, learning and excelling with leash walking. Loves to play, able to self entertain and is able to relax nicely.

Dakota can get anxious with any change/new stimuli, and seeing other dogs. She needs confident direction from her person. With this, she does well.

No cats. Older dog savvy young adults ok.
**We will update on other dogs & fit. Right now, she’s best as an only dog.
The world around her is a completely new experience.
She will bond very tightly to her person.

All of our dogs are fully vetted before adoption.
Copies of all medical records will go to adopters.
**Vet appointment dates must be scheduled by adopters and date given to GSRNY before an adoption can take place.

**Due to the Pandemic Restrictions:
Please be able to print, scan and send all paperwork between you and GSRNY through email in PDF format.
Have the ability to video your home, inside and out.
We are thankful for satellite, so we can see your location.

**Excellent vet history and references are a must.

**We ask that adopters have plenty of time to work with an adopted dog/puppy.
Please do keep in mind, your regular work schedule. The Pandemic has changed schedules for some, but should always be training and preparing for regular work hours & schedules**

**Our adoption Process may not be for everyone, or the distance too far. Please check out your local shelters and rescues. There are so many animals in need everywhere, we are only one of many.
