Our portal, Petfinder, has a section on the right side that says, "Considering this pet for adoption?" Please do not submit that, as we do not have the volunteer staff to answer these. Our website is very complete, and if you read it will answer any questions that you have.

MY AGE: approx. 7 years WEIGHT: approx. 12 lbs.
MY STORY: 12/24 Update: She's getting into the holiday season! This little cuddlebug continues to show more and more of her personality. She doesn't beg or whine for anything, but we can tell when she's excited about something ... like going for walks! While in her foster home, Cumulus hasn't run into many other dogs. Her foster mom took her for a walk with a friends' friendly labradoodle with zero issues. During walks, Cumulus isn't overly concerned with dogs in yards or walking nearby. In a nutshell, she is a petite package of pure love and gentle energy. While initially reserved, she blossoms with gentle attention. Her favorite moments are spent cuddling close, proving that sometimes the most profound connections are the quietest. Remarkably, she doesn't bark or whine - making her the perfect companion for those seeking a peaceful furry friend. Daily Joys: Her days are filled with cozy moments, a walk in the neighborhood and showing off her beloved stuffed puppy toy. Cumulus would thrive in a calm environment with patient humans who appreciate a dog that offers love through gentle presence rather than constant excitement.
12/13 Update: After one month at her foster home, "Cumulus" seems to feel right at home! Her energy level is up, she's more playful every day and she seems more confident that when we leave the house without her, we will be back! One thing she has not warmed up to is climbing up or down full flights of stairs. This is actually a blessing if you don't want her to wander around unattended (we're still working on potty training). Fortunately, she only weighs 12 pounds and doesn't mind being held or carried! :)
12/8 Foster Update: Cumulus has been in her foster home for a month after some time at Fluffy Dog Rescue prior to being surrendered from a breeding farm. This 12 lb. girl thrives on a predictable routine which means she eats and sleeps like a champ, has fewer indoor potty accidents, and is more playful. Her ideal day is sticking close to her foster mom and taking potty breaks at frequent intervals plus a good daily walk. She quickly acclimated to a consistent bedtime routine and sleeping in her crate all night without a peep. She was hesitant on walks early on but now she looks forward to it and will spend most of her time smelling and marking her territory while vigorously kicking up grass and dirt. Her foster family is still working on potty training. Cumulus doesn't go to the door or bark when she needs to potty. Keeping an eye on her at all times and staying on an outdoor routine is key to reducing inside accidents. Cumulus is more and more playful every day. She will instigate playtime which involves zooming around until she's out of breath. Having a variety of chewing toys is key because she does seek out certain types of household items to chew on. Her favorite pastime continues to be cuddling and getting pets on her belly, back and behind her ears.
Update 11/16 CUMULUS PUPDATE! Little miss terrier mix is more precious every day!
> We're moving beyond our "yard walks" to take short jaunts around the neighborhood. She's a great little walker and doesn't pull at all.
> With the wet weather, we've been wiping her paws when she comes into the house. She doesn't mind this at all!
> She is still pretty quiet. Only barks when we put her in her crate to leave the house. I think it will take some getting used to.
> She is wagging her tail! She is getting playful! She gets the zoomies!
> Her absolute favorite pastime is to sit by your side and get belly rubs.
> When I'm busy in my office or doing chores around the house, she lays down in the nearest dog bed and rests.
> Never begs for food when we're eating at the dinner table.
> Friendly to visitors. Doesn't bark.
