We are a foster-based rescue. You will need an appointment to meet the animal where they are being fostered, with an approved application. Home checks and vet references are required for all adopters. Please only apply if you can pass a home check.

Meet Crystal:

Crystal came into our care in November of 2022, when she was found as a stray. At the time Crystal was estimated to be around 9 months old, just a baby.

Crystal is a very active lab pit mix. Understandably, due to her past, Crystal came into our rescue with severe separation and social anxiety. We have been working with her on this and are starting her with a professional trainer. Crystal is active and loves to play whether it be with her person or with another dog. We have found that she does well with dog of similar size to her but not with animals that are smaller than her. She has a buddy at her foster home that she does very well with, they play and run for hours together. We have found that Crystal gets bored easily if alone, that coupled with her separation anxiety means it is best to not leave Crystal free and unsupervised for long. Short trips outside alone, or going out with her is the best way to ensure Crystal doesn't wander. Crystal loves stuffed toys, her superpower is getting all the fluff out without severely damaging the toy. This adorable girl is a lover. Seriously all she wants is to be in your face giving kisses and getting hugs. She loves cuddling, lots of pets, ad being told she's a good girl.

Crystal is crate trained and we have found that her crate really helps calm her if she is anxious. She settles in the crate quickly and sleeps in it every night. Having toys and bones available also helps with Crystal's anxiety. This gives her something to focus on and keep busy with. Due to Crystal's history it is evident that she has not been properly socialized, while it is something we are working on, this is something she will need continued training for. Due to her high energy and anxiety we do believe Crystal would do best in a home without young children.

Crystal is truly an amazing dog with puppylike energy. She is very affectionate and just wants a family of her own that will recognize her needs and help her to overcome them. Crystal will do best in a home that will continue to work with her and help her become her best self through training. Crystal loves attention and, in return, has a lot of love to give.

**Crystal's has been with us for almost a year now so we have reduced her adoption fee to $200.**

Crystal is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, treated for fleas, and dewormed.
