Meet Cruz!

Cruz is a 9 month-old goofy teen puppy with a heart as big as his smile. We were told that he is a Doodle mix of some kind, but we have noticed that he does shed some. Weighing in at 47 lbs now, he might look like an Irish Wolfhound, but this playful pup is only expected to reach around 50 lbs once fully grown. With his medium to high energy levels, Cruz is always up for a game of fetch or a romp in the yard. One of Cruz's favorite things to do is play and wrestle with his canine companions. He's a social butterfly who thrives in the company of other dogs, however, he does guard his food so he needs to be fed seperately. In his foster home, Cruz has done well around the resident cats, proving to be a well-rounded and adaptable pup.

This charming pooch is house trained and crate trained, making him a well-behaved companion when his foster mom is away. Cruz adores people and has a special place in his heart for kids, although he may be best suited for children aged 12 and over due to his enthusiasm around food.

Always sporting a smile on his face, Cruz is a bundle of joy waiting to bring happiness to his new family. If you're looking for a fun-loving, happy-go-lucky companion to join your home, Cruz might just be the perfect match for you!

Spayed/neutered; Up to date on vaccines; Heartworm tested if six months or older (& kept on heartworm preventative and treated for heartworms if positive when entering our program): Microchipped prior to adoption

BREEDS: We are not breed experts. The breed(s) listed for each adoptable are best guesses or suggestions.

PLEASE NOTE: We are a non-profit organization without municipal or government funding. Veterinary/Medical expenses are constant for an animal rescue. Our adoption fees not only help to provide vetting and care for the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need in order to be made available for adoption.

Please understand that adopting an animal is a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to that animal and there will be veterinary expenses throughout their life that can often cost several hundreds, if not thousands of dollars (without pet insurance), especially without annual checkups and preventative care.  As a potential family for this pet you are responsible for their safety and that includes keeping them on your property.
