Approximately nine months ago, Mitch was dumped at Oasis Veterinary Clinic. Mitch came to us with a gunshot wound to his right rear leg, full of intestinal parasites, and scared of his own shadow. After months of rehabilitation and care, Mitch regained his strength and turned into the most playful, loving, and compassionate boy. While with us, Mitch has been fully vaccinated, neutered, tested negative for heartworms, dewormed, and kept current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. While his personality flourished for quite a while, living in a boarding suite is not the ideal situation. Mitch has been around other animals, including cats, and loves every single one he has met. He does play rough so having another companion that is young or playful may be best. Mitch needs a family that is active and can play with him consistently. He has never met a stranger, does good with men and women of any age. He has not been around kids but we do not suspect he would act any different. He loves his toys, playing fetch or even sometimes “keep away”. Mitch knows how to sit and “get in his kennel”, mostly house trained. We know that he will make the perfect companion for a special family.
