Frankie Bones is a black lab (dark chocolate in the sun) mix who is about 80 pounds of lean muscle. He will be four years old in November. Frankie is the sweetest, calm, most affectionate boy. He does have to warm up to strangers. He has done well at dog parks and never had a problem with my young nephew. Frankie is very protective of his home/yard/family. To anone who walks into the house for the first time, he seems a bit scary. It's just because he is pure muscle and a whole lot of talk for a big chicken. Before I hurt myself too badly to walk him anymore, the only way was with the choke collar that has the prongs on the inside. I have had two trainers work with him and neither could ever break him of pulling. He is a huge cuddle bug and prefers to have some part of himself touching someone, even if it's just a paw on my leg when I'm working on the computer. He will jump and when he gets super excited, sometimes nips the air close to my face when he jumps up. I've been trying to correct this behavior. Frankie has amazing bladder and bowel control. He has not had an accident since he was maybe 6 months old. They are both crate trained and I will be donating their crates and belongings as well.

I've been feeding them the Purina One Plus Large Breed Puppy and Adult formula. They get an "Oinker" to chew on each day. (Frankie may or may not take it from you because really all he wants to do is go stare at her and make her think he's going to steal it). I also put CBD oil in their shared water bowl. Frankie is a very anxious dog that is exhibited by frequent nail biting, random whining and licking when he's nervous. It seems to help him a lot with that. Marleigh benefits from it because she will tire Frankie out trying to get him to play with her all day without it.

Frankie hates to ride in the car, but doesn't usually give me much problem getting him to get in our out of the car without force. He will not try to come into the front cab or put his face out of a window. He sits still as a statue shaking like a leaf until we reach our destination. Marleigh won't get in the car without physical assistance. Once she's in, she's good. Just be sure she has had a good pee before getting in the car. They are both accustomed to wearing seatbelts attched to their harnesses. Marleigh won't make a peep at people, but Frankie will bark hellos when the car is parked or in a drive through.

The only human food that I allow them is squash, watermelon rind, carrots, sweet potatoe.

They do not like smoking and will silently judge you from the window.
