Courage the (cowardly) Dog Mixed Breed Wilmington, NC

Courage is a sweet guy, but his early life taught him nothing but fear. He and his brother were found in a ditch in a rural area, and Courage has struggled to fully trust humans since! Though it can be hard for him, once Courage warms up to you, he is a sweet, loving, and dedicated companion.

Courage absolutely adores other dogs, and would do best in a home with a friend to show him the ropes. He is also cat friendly, and an all-around gentle soul. Courage does ok with children, but is best with older kids who won't startle or scare him. Though we are unsure of his breed, Courage has grown quickly and will likely be a large-sized dog of 60-70lbs.

Courage is potty trained and crate trained (in fact, a crate makes a wonderful safe space for him). He does well on a leash and would love a new home that will help him have new adventures!

Courage is dewormed, microchipped, and has age-appropriate vaccines. His adoption will include a contract that requires his neuter at an appropriate age.
