**Please read Copper Cutie's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!**

Meet Copper Cutie - a completely adorable Shepherd / Hound mix boy who was found as a stray with his brother Ruger in Tennessee. He didn't get his last name by accident!! These boys are 11 1/2 months and approximately 40 pounds at the time of this updated posting on 10/13/24. And in addition to their listed breeds they might have some Treeing Walker Coonhound and other breeds mixed in too. We can't believe HE HAS BEEN WAITING SEVEN MONTHS to find his people - I mean just look at that face...and those amazing ears! They have the best coloring and are always surprising you if they are going to be up, down, or one of each :)

His foster mom shares "Copper is fully crate trained! He does really well with other animals such as dogs and cats, and also around children. He has a quiet voice, we call it his "huff" but it's a really quiet bark. He is cautious of new people and new animals, but he warms up very quickly. He is very quirky in picking up the energy of where he is. He will be calm in a calm environment, and hyper in a hyper environment. Of course sometimes he will have zoomies! And his floppy ear can sometimes be upright! He's a very goofy dog who is mindful and smart. Lots of positive reinforcement works well for him. What a handsome and sweet boy he is!"

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

To adopt or learn more about Copper, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $575] **

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.

Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
