*PLEASE NOTE: We do not adopt out on a first-come/first-serve basis. Applications are accepted for a dog and then a home check is scheduled. If there are multiple applications for a dog, after all home checks are done, the dog is adopted out to the home that is the best fit for that dog.

HELLO! My name is Cookie and I may be the sweetest little pup you have ever met! At a mere 20 pounds as a bit of an older puppy, I am shaping up to be the most perfect medium-sized best friend around....not too big and not too small! My foster home is full of wonderful fur friends! The foster sibs pups are so much fun to play with and I am quite curious about the kitties but only in a good way! My foster Mom thinks I would be ok in a home with dog-friendly cats. She also says I am a very good and very smart girl and am working very hard on learning all my home life skills! In fact, I have mastered the art of sleeping through the night without a peep! And I forgot to tell you that one of the best parts of my day is cuddle time! There is a nice boy here who loves to let me snuggle in and it is GREAT! Like all puppies, I am looking for a home with love, patience and time to keep working on training with me! If you would like to meet me, please fill out a pre adoption application and a CDR volunteer will get back to you just as quick as they can!

**The ADOPTION FEE for this pet is $525, which includes getting the puppy up to date on rabies, distemper and bordetella vaccines, fecal test and deworming if necessary, heartworm test, spay or neuter (not including pre-surgical bloodwork) and a microchip. Free access to our weekly training classes is also included for the life of the dog, something no other rescue in the area offers.***
