Meet Cody
Panther once belonged to a family who taught him commands, but somehow, he ended up as a stray on the streets of Houston. When he was found, his paw pads were injured, and he was taken to the shelter. He shared a kennel with other dogs and charmed everyone with his friendly nature. But after spending too long there, he was at risk of being euthanized until he was saved just in time.
Panther is as trusting as they come and gets along beautifully with other dogs. He has no food aggression and loves both men and women, though he’s got a special soft spot for the ladies.
This house-trained, zoomie-prone goofball enjoys going for walks, playing with toys, and showing off his tug-of-war skills. He’s quick to pick up commands—especially when cheese is involved. (He’s absolutely crazy about cheese!)
Panther doesn’t love going into a kennel and will gripe about it, but he’ll settle once inside. At night, he’s happiest sleeping on the floor near you or curling up on the couch to feel close. He’s also a pro at car rides and would love to accompany you on all your adventures.
If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and affectionate companion with a heart as big as his story, Panther is your guy. He’s proof that second chances can lead to something truly special.
