Meet Cleo (Ends in O Pups)
Hi my name is Cleo and I'm one of the pups from the Ends with O litter. I'm thought to be a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix and am just 2 lbs at 6 weeks. Since my mommy is 14lbs I'll likely be up to 20 lbs when full grown.
I'm a very sociable pup and Iove to get attention but I also like to wrestle and play with my brothers and sisters, too. I'm doing a good job learning to use the pee pads and should get the hang of it in no time.
I'm fostered in the Shenandoah Valley but my foster mom will meet adopters to make sure I find a good home.
I'm microchipped, current on my vaccines and monthly preventives and will be available to go home with an adopter as soon as November 12th.
Please note that because this puppy is so young, it has only received 2 of the required 3 puppy distemper vaccines. This is very IMPORTANT because it means that the immune system will not be fully functioning until about 16 weeks of age. Until then, the puppy MUST stay out of public places where it could be exposed to the germs of other dogs. These no puppy zones include all pet stores, dog parks, and for apartment dwellers, areas used by other dogs. These requirements are strictly for the puppys medical safety and longevity.

Operation Paws for Homes, Inc. (OPH) rescues dogs and cats of all breeds and ages from high-kill shelters in NC, VA, MD, and SC, reducing the numbers being euthanized. With limited resources, the shelters are forced to put down 50-90% of the animals that come in the front door. OPH provides pet adoption services to families located in VA, DC, MD, PA and neighboring states. OPH is a 501(c)(3) organization and is 100% donor funded. OPH does not operate a shelter or have a physical location. We rely on foster families who open their homes to give love and attention to each pet before finding a forever home. All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.
