Clementine American Bulldog & Labrador Retriever Mix Colorado Springs, CO

Clementine is a big sweetheart! She lived in solitude for a while in an outdoor dog run until she was rescued by Love & Paws, but she has come such a long way. She now loves scratches, only on her terms, and enjoys playing outside. She hops around when she sees you and is happy to live her new life! She seems to prefer men over women but is still somewhat stand-offish with people and likely will always have somewhat of a guard up but would love a patient person who understands that. Clementine loves her fluffy bed and does well in her kennel or left out. She is potty trained. She enjoys the outdoors, rolling around in the grass and frolicking around with her canine companions! She enjoys the company of other dogs and absolutely has to have a "pack" in her forever home to help her feel confident and comfortable!

Clementine is about 7-8 years old and around 70lbs. She would be an amazing dog for someone who wants a low energy, low maintenance dog to spend their life with. She needs someone who is willing to be patient until she adjusts, and someone that understands she will not be a cuddly dog or an ultra loyal companion. She lived in solitude for so long that she is mostly independent and wants to enjoy her life with her doggie friends.

Clementine is located in Fort Worth, TX. We do transport dogs to Colorado straight to your home once you are approved to adopt. We understand the importance of matching the right dog up with the right family, so our process includes phone calls, picture and video exchanges, as well as FaceTime meetings so you can meet the dog virtually in many ways and discuss your preferences with us to determine if the dog is a good fit. We do charge a $250 transport fee on top of the dog's adoption fee.
