Meet Clara Mae!
Clara Mae is an absolutely adorable 5-month-old hound/Staffie mix with stunning, expressive face markings that perfectly match her loving personality. Weighing in at 34 lbs, we estimate she’ll grow to be around 45-50 lbs when full grown. True to her stocky “low-rider” build, she’s compact but full of charm!
This sweet girl has already overcome so much in her short life. We rescued Clara Mae from a heartbreaking situation where she was left tied up without shelter. The other dogs on the property tragically lost their lives, but Clara Mae was given a second chance—and now she’s ready to find her forever home.
Clara Mae’s playful and social nature makes her a joy to be around. She adores other dogs and is always up for playtime. She’s also learning to respect cats’ boundaries—she doesn’t hurt them but sometimes thinks they want to play as much as she does! When she’s not busy playing, Clara Mae loves to settle in for some snuggles and movie time.
This smart pup is already crate trained and making great progress with her house training. She’s a social butterfly who loves people and is eager to meet new friends wherever she goes.
If you’re looking for a fun-loving, cuddly companion with a heart as big as her adorable face, Clara Mae could be the perfect addition to your family!

We understand that it is important to you to find the right fit for your family. We feel the same way! The DOG ADOPTION INTEREST FORM is important and REQUIRED for this reason.
All of our Adoptables are:
Spayed/neutered; Up to date on vaccines; Heartworm tested if six months or older (& kept on heartworm preventative and treated for heartworms if positive when entering our program): Microchipped prior to adoption
BREEDS: We are not breed experts. The breed(s) listed for each adoptable are best guesses or suggestions.
PLEASE NOTE: We are a non-profit organization without municipal or government funding. Veterinary/Medical expenses are constant for an animal rescue. Our adoption fees not only help to provide vetting and care for the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need in order to be made available for adoption.
Please understand that adopting an animal is a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to that animal and there will be veterinary expenses throughout their life that can often cost several hundreds, if not thousands of dollars (without pet insurance), especially without annual checkups and preventative care. As a potential family for this pet you are responsible for their safety and that includes keeping them on your property.
***If you are not in the middle Tennessee area, transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes, depending on distance and local adaptability. We normally do not allow adoptions outside of 1.5 hours driving distance.
