Claire Black Labrador Retriever Mix Chicago, IL

Sweet Claire is a 4 month old puppy about 40 lbs, who looks to be a medium/large size dog by her paws and stature. I've cared for since she was born in June. I was able to save her sweet mama dog who was dumped about a week before birth. She has had quality time with mama necessary for her to develop into a healthy beautiful loving puppy. Additionally she has learned key social skills, basic commands and good habits with a set schedule. She is learning to potty train and would do wonderful with someone who will continue puppy training with her.  I have set Claire up for success, and she is a thriving, healthy puppy meeting all of her key milestones.

Claire is playful, sweet, affectionate, fun, gentle, loyal as she always be near you, looking over your shoulder and alerting you to any possible danger, even if it's the mailman, lol. However, she only barks when necessary, otherwise she will quietly be your shadow. She knows to sit, come to you when you call her name, gives great eye contact and alertness, and protective to caregiver and her puppy mates. For example, if she thinks you're upset she will check on you, and if her puppy mates are getting a bath, she will come check on them. She has balanced puppy energy and is highly trainable! who will enjoy an active lifestyle, but she is also incredibly smart and trainable as she grows into an amazing dog!

Claire has adjusted well to a waking up in the morning to daily playtime, she eats twice a day now, and goes to bed on schedule at night. She is on her way to being fully potty trained, by understanding to go on the potty pad or outside in the yard. She is at such a great development stage to join a loving family!

Although I don't know her exact breed, according to her characteristics, pet scanner and personality, various vet opinions and the look of her mother, she may be a mix of either Labrador Retriever, Cane Corso Mastiff, and possible English Pointer according to Pet Scan. Her mother may be mixed with Rafeiro do Alentejo according to her color. The mother dog is about 70 lbs and size of a medium sized lab. According to Claire's paws and height compared to her litter mates, I guess she may be 70-80lbs or at the most the size of her mother. She is smart, picks up commands quickly, excellent social skills, and is highly motivated by affection, praise and as in all puppies treats.

The ideal owner would be experienced with big dogs, active, and a playful doggie sibling. She needs an owner that embraces her loyalty, need to be by your side and affection. I have not had her around children, but I don't see children being an issue.

Claire has the most wholesome charming eyes, tail wags and tender spirit. There is no doubt she will puts a smile on anyone's face, and she will shower you with tons of love and affection.  She will be a perfect addition to a loving family!

She has had her first 3 round of shots, microchipped and started her flea tick and heart worm protection. Please email me for any additional questions.
