Meet Cindy
Meet Cindy—
Miss Cindy was a breeder dog on a farm until about six months ago. She must have been a good mother to all those puppies: she is gentle, easy-going, takes everything in stride, just goes with the flow. She lived with three young children on the farm, and she had plenty of canine companionship. She lives with a dog in her foster home and they get along like a couple of life-long friends.
Cindy has two favorite things in the world. The first is food and the second is spending time with her people. If she can have both at the same time, she’s in heaven. She loves going out for walks, socializing with dogs and people she meets, and accepting as much attention as anyone is willing to give. She isn’t interested in chasing balls or tearing around in a frenzy, preferring a more sedate lifestyle. She’s happy hanging out near her people, following them from room to room in the house. If a treat or a scrap finds its way in her direction, so much the better. And bonus points are offered for hugs and cuddles!
Cindy’s history with cats is unknown, but she has shown a keen interest in squirrels and bunnies and even some of the larger birds that occasionally cross her path. She will sometimes try to catch them, but has never come close. Her interest in chasing the little critters is the reason she might not get on well in a home with a cat.
She would love to find a home where her people are around a good bit of the time. She points out that old saying: “An idle mind is the devil’s workshop.”
Cindy is an incredibly sweet and affectionate dog. After all her years of nurturing her litters of puppies she deserves some years of nurturing and love herself. Maybe yours is the home she’s been dreaming of!
