Cider - adopted! Border Collie Mix Minneapolis, MN

Sweet, friendly Cider is fondly called Honey by her foster family for good reason. She’s simply lovely: easy-going, loyal, ready to join her people in any activity they enjoy. One-and-a-half years old, 45# and fully ready to hand her heart to the lucky family that gives her a last name.

Cider wants a life of seeing the world. Dog-friendly patios, family barbeques, camping: sign her up for all of it. Girl has an explorer’s heart! She wants to stay active and healthy through moderate daily exercise, preferably checking out new places on a frequent basis. An excellent family dog in the making. We picture her walking the kids to the bus in the morning, then taking a relaxing stroll before work for the adults. Helping with homework after school and enjoying family time in the evening. She's also a great match for a “get out there” couple or single person.

Currently living with other dogs in her foster home, Cider enjoys their company, happily coexisting. She would be happy as the sole pet in her home or could live with another friendly pup. No kitties, please. Her prey drive includes chasing squirrels and bunnies whenever possible, creating a strong preference for a physically fenced yard.

Excellent leash manners, focused on her people and the task at hand. Smelling new smells and seeing new sights is her happy space. True to her breed, Cider is very intelligent and would excitedly dive into obedience or trick classes for the fun of learning with her people (and also for treats!). She’s learning to contain her excitement when greeting human friends – she has so much to tell them!

Cider is being fostered in St. Paul, MN.

As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We are located in Minnesota and adopt to an area 400 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Cider's adoption fee is $450 + MN sales tax. She will be spayed and microchipped in early October. She is heartworm negative and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. All of our dogs go to their new homes with a collar and harness, leash, starter food, blanket, favorite toys & treats. They are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
