Meet Ciara
**Adoption Interest Form REQUIRED via our website Rarerescue.org**
Meet Ciara, a stunning 2-3-year-old mixed-breed girl weighing in at 33 lbs—the perfect medium size! We believe she might be a Kelpie mix, but her exact breed is a bit of a mystery. What we do know is that Ciara is a sweet, gentle soul who just needs a little time to come out of her shell. She’s shy when meeting new people, often cowering at first, but she’s not aggressive at all. With patience and love, Ciara will quickly warm up—in just a few days, she’ll be cuddling and wanting to be your best friend.
Ciara is fantastic with cats and has a special love for small dogs. She enjoys playing with most dogs, though some larger dogs can make her feel a little uncomfortable. She’s also good with gentle, older kids who will give her the time she needs to decompress. Always eager to show her submissive side, Ciara will roll onto her back when meeting new friends.
While she’s still a bit nervous on the leash, she’s making great progress in her foster home, going on small walks. She’s completely house trained and hasn’t chewed on furniture, shoes, or other household items. Ciara sits quietly in the back seat during car rides, though she’s still a little scared getting into the car, so her foster mom helps lift her in.
If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion who will reward your patience with endless affection, Ciara could be the one for you. Complete an adoption application at rarerescue.org to meet this sweet girl and give her the forever home she deserves!

PLEASE NOTE: We are a non-profit organization without municipal or government funding. Veterinary/Medical expenses are constant for an animal rescue. Our adoption fees not only help to provide vetting and care for the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need in order to be made available for adoption.
Please understand that adopting an animal is a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to that animal and there will be veterinary expenses throughout their life that can often cost several hundreds, if not thousands of dollars (without pet insurance), especially without annual checkups and preventative care. As a potential family for this pet you are responsible for their safety and that includes keeping them on your property.
***If you are not in the middle Tennessee area, transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes, depending on distance and local adaptability. We normally do not allow adoptions outside of 1.5 hours driving distance.
