Looking for a loyal companion with a heart of gold? That's me-Chuck! I'm a fluffy, handsome pup with a gentle soul and a playful spark just waiting to shine.

Since moving into my foster home, I've truly started to come out of my shell. I'm discovering that the world isn't so scary after all-especially when there are fun dogs, cozy couches, and kind humans around. I've made great progress and now love playing with my foster siblings, going on hikes, and zooming around the yard. When playtime's over? I'm all about that cuddle life. Once I'm comfortable, I turn into a big-time snuggle bug.

I'm great with other dogs (male and female!), and I've even met a few new pups recently with no issues. I also get along well with cats-bonus points for that, right? I do need to be kenneled when my people aren't home because I can get anxious, but I'm learning to feel more secure every day.

I'm almost completely potty trained, too-just one or two little accidents in the past couple of weeks. I'm such a smart boy!

One thing I'm still working on is building trust with men. I'm not aggressive at all-I just get very timid and scared. I might lie down, hide under furniture, or just freeze up. But with patience and kindness, I've been slowly making progress. A calm and gentle environment helps me feel safe.

I'd thrive in a home with another confident dog, who can help me continue to grow into the amazing dog I'm meant to be.

I may have come to High Country Humane after my owner passed away, but I know my next chapter is going to be beautiful. I've got so much love to give-and I can't wait to give it to you.
