Meet Chuck

Meet Chuck, your new best friend. Chuck seems to be a perfect companion: full of love and affection and eager to please. He loves a good face rub and will ask for them by putting his face in your hands. He is quick to learn new things as he is quite food motivated! One of the things he looks forward to is his daily walk with our volunteers. He is a 10/10 good boy who is looking for his new family. "Chuck was a favourite out of all the doggy dates we do! He is so gentle when playing, loves to be right beside you, and cuddles as much as he can. Jumps but somehow in a gentle way, only for some extra face rubs. Slept through the night with no issues and hardly any barking. A very sweet boy and we are shocked he’s still not adopted. Very glad we had the opportunity to take him for a couple days."

"I enjoyed a relaxing doggie date with Chuck a 1 and a 1/2 year old mastiff cross. During the car ride home he was a very well-behaved boy. He was content in the back seat and did not feel the need to take over the wheel. I guess he trusted my driving skills.
Because of a knee injury I am struggling with, we did not go on a formal walk. Instead, I brought him to our home to run zoomies in the yard and hang out with me for the afternoon. Well, this date was right up his alley. After burning off some energy flying through the snow in the yard, he refueled with some yummy doggie treats. Food is a big motivator for him and he did show off some dog tricks to get those treats.
Before I knew it, he was curled up on the couch snuggled up next to me snoring. He was so very receptive to snuggles and love. I have not dated a dog that felt quite as comfortable so quickly before. It was very touching how he enjoyed cuddling while soaking up the doggie massages. Such a sweet, sweet affectionate boy.
Chuck is going to make some lucky family a loving loyal companion. He is a gem! I hope he finds his forever home very soon."
