Chocolate Shepherd Mix Marion, OH

It's hard to believe that only six weeks ago, Chocolate was living in a filthy crate in an apartment where he was abandoned after his owner moved. In the six weeks he's been at the pound, we have gotten to know his true personality! Chocolate is carefree and goofy, and loves trotting around and exploring the exercise yards. He is friendly and confident and loves going for walks. He would do best with a sturdy harness, as he does pull, but this will be an easy fix with a proper routine and some regular exercise! We think Chocolate is still pretty young, around a year old, and he has so much potential!

As you can see from his "before" pictures, Chocolate was starved. Due to his history with food insecurity, Chocolate will need to be fed separately from any other animals in the home, and any kids in the home should leave him alone while he eats. He will need some time to adjust to being loved and starting a new routine, and we are so excited for his next chapter!

Chocolate is available to foster or adopt. Any kids or dogs in the home must come in to meet him.
