Meet Chloe!

This precious girl is roughly 7 years old. We suspect her past includes being used for breeding at a backyard breeding mill, as she came to our rescue with little social skills and a whole lot of fear. It seems her physical well-being was also neglected, as she suffered a slipped disc soon after rescue and was unable to use her back legs very well. After many acupuncture treatments and physical therapy, this sweet girl was able to regain movement! She is a trooper and so deserving of a happy life!

Chloe has started to slowly blossom in her foster home after several months of patience and love and will need just as much given to her in her forever home. She still startles at sudden movements and noises but is slowly getting better.

Chloe is crate trained, does well with other dogs and cats and loves treats! Her foster mom takes her outside on a potty schedule, and she is getting more comfortable with being on leash. She has to be kept on a leash at all times because she is still learning that it is not a scary thing to enter a human's space. The leash is to keep her safe if she tries bolting out the door. But she is improving all the time! She is now learning to come when called with treat training!

She loves her comfy spot on the couch where she can watch the house activities and she is learning to play with toys! She also enjoys sleeping on the bed at night.

Ideally, Chloe would do best in a home with a confident (yet gentle) dog that can continue to show her how to trust humans. A gentle, loving human companion that is patient, respects her as she is and is willing to work with her changing needs is what we are looking for. Chloe is blossoming in her own time and cannot be rushed. She is a beautiful little soul that deserves to be loved.
