Chloe would love a calm & quiet home! Chloe is a beautiful brindle, house trained, spayed, 5 year-old, female Lab/Pit mix who landed at the shelter when her owner went into a nursing home. In her former life, Chloe was the “only child” of a solitary companion; her owner was the center of Chloe’s universe, all the family that Chloe knew. Imagine how lonely not having that loved one in her life anymore. In her prior home, Chloe was trusted with the run of the house; she learned “sit,” & “shake.” She hasn’t had much, if any, experience with children & we feel she will shine her brightest star in a low key “adults only” home where she can quietly soak up all the attention. At the rescue, Chloe loves walks on leash, especially if they include rides in the car to a trail; she loves sniffing for buried treasure in the big back yard, & is even up for playing some ball. The person or persons interested in Chloe will have to make more than one visit to slowly gain her trust.
