Chip Labrador Retriever Louisville, KY

Chip is a 7ish, 50ish lb, Black Lab who is on the search for his new forever family. He was surrendered to GRRAND as he was not adjusting well to the 3 young kids that had become part of his family in the last few years. Chip is looking for a calm, non-chaotic home, with kids over the age of 16, where he will get all of the TLC he so deserves. He is house-trained and has full run of the house at night and when his people are away. They say: "Chip is really sweet and he just needs more attention than we can give to him with our 3 young kids. He is loyal and loves to go on walks."

Chip is at the kennel and the staff says: When he arrived at the kennel a couple of weeks ago he was confused, anxious, and looking for his owner to return and get him. But after a short while he has become a favorite at the kennel and the perfect resident!

He loves other dogs and all people. He's on the smaller side, maybe 45 lbs, and he loves to jump up on the bench and snuggle right next to you. He is playful and will chase a ball. and he 's an excellent walker, no pulling, and he's taken on the GCS trail every day by the volunteers.

He really likes some of our long term dogs, specifically Penny and Ross; so much so he's shown the ability to climb a 4' chain link fence to get to them for play time! Because of that he will need either a wrought iron or 6' fence, or a commitment to leash walk all the time. We really hope this sweet boy can find a home quickly, and whoever takes him will be a lucky person"
