We are nearing close to 540+ days of Chester in our care without a single meet and greet…..

Chester and his siblings abandonment shocked everyone when we first posted their story. His sibling has since been adopted into the most loving homes. Chester was heartworm positive, shockingly emaciated to where he was too weak to walk out of the house, and we had no idea if he would make it. That boy was strong though, and Chester recovery is one of true resiliency. Chester has worked through all the physical and so much of even emotional tolls that he had. Chester still may not want to share his toys if he doesn’t trust you and when he’s ready he will bring them up to you, and Chester may not have the best kennel manners but could you blame him? Chester does good with other dogs in small doses, but so much was taken from him that he needs to be the only pet in the home. He is about 4 years old, and loves his blankets. He is obsessed with treats, and enjoys going on walks. Chester would do well with an experienced dog owner, and a home without very young children. He loves to army crawl in the grass, playing in water, and LOVES basking in the sun. All he needs a home to call his own…is that with you?
