Meet Cheran
Meet Cheran!
Cheran is an adorable Hound with a heart full of love and a playful spirit that will capture your heart. This sweet pup is super friendly, sweet, and affectionate, making him an ideal companion for those seeking a loving addition to their family.
Cheran's playful nature makes him an excellent exercise partner, ready to join you on adventures and outdoor activities. At this time, we are unsure how he interacts with other dogs or animals, but his loving demeanor suggests a potential for positive relationships with the right introductions.
Picked up as a stray, Cheran is now looking for a forever home where he can share his boundless affection and joy. Despite his unknown past, Cheran's resilient spirit and friendly disposition shine through, making him a wonderful candidate for a loving family.
Before considering Cheran for adoption, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your interest in providing a loving home to a shelter pet from the Stafford County Animal Shelter. Please note that Cheran, like some of our other animals, has not undergone spaying or neutering, leading to specific adoption restrictions.
To adopt Cheran or any other unaltered animal from our shelter, residency in Stafford County or one of the neighboring counties (Caroline, Culpeper, Fauquier, Fredericksburg City, King George, Prince William, Spotsylvania) is required. If you reside outside these specified areas, you remain eligible to adopt a pet that has already been spayed or neutered.
For a detailed understanding of our adoption process, kindly visit https://www.staffordcountyanimalcontrol.com/how-to-adopt.
It's important to note that our shelter does not have a resident veterinarian, so adopters must make arrangements for necessary veterinary care outside our facility.
To proceed with Cheran's adoption, present a photo ID displaying your current address. If your address isn't on your ID, a current utility bill with your name and address, along with your photo ID, is acceptable. This verification process ensures the safety and well-being of our beloved animals.
For the safety of our feline friends, we require cats to be transported in carriers. If you don't have one, we offer cardboard pet carriers for purchase at $5 each, ensuring a secure and comfortable transition for your new family member.
Adoptions operate on a first-come, first-served basis, with services concluding 30 minutes before the shelter closes.
Feel free to visit the shelter during our regular hours:
Monday to Friday: 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Saturdays: 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Sundays and Holidays: Closed
Our shelter's address is 26 Frosty Lane, Stafford, VA 22554. For inquiries, contact us at 540.658.7387 or via email at animalshelter@staffordcountyva.gov.
