Sometimes the best things in life take time and are worth waiting for - like me! I’m a special little guy, my friends call me Chalupa.
The world to me is a pretty scary place. I’m slowly learning about all the good things and that what I think are the scary things aren’t so bad. So far I have decided that I love cuddles and sleeping under a blanket. I also prefer yogurt over peanut butter and I love eating veggies! I get very excited when it’s meal time- I run ahead of my foster mom and just can’t wait to see what she’s got ready for me!
I need slow intros to other dogs, cats and kids. Rushing me into a situation where I’m nervous would just make things worse and I want a family who will advocate for me but still encourage me to try new things. I didn’t know if I would enjoy cuddling, but now that I’ve had a minute to experience it, it’s another one of my favourite things to do!
Crate training and walking on a leash are a work in progress. Slow and steady wins the race, right? I’m definitely making progress in the housebreaking department though!
