Meet Cerridwen
Meet Cerridwen! Cerridwen is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue section).
Cerridwen is a mixed breed puppy with black fur and adorable black and white mottled markings on her neck and chest. Part of our nine puppy Court of Dreams litter rescued from Texas, she will be a medium size dog when full grown. Like her literary namesake, our Cerridwen is a true friend and will be a loyal companion for some fortunate adopter.
Affectionate, and gentle, Cerridwen is quite possibly the perfect puppy. Born in mid-July, this little girl is the sweetest ever, a cuddle bug who loves being snuggled up next to a human, in her dog bed, or under a warm blanket. Curious and playful, Cerridwen enjoys initiating play with the resident dog and is quite brave about checking out new sounds or things in her environment. Cerridwen is a sociable pup who enjoys the company of other dogs; people and children are great as well because they will pet her. If you are looking for a pup to hang out with you at the coffee shop, Cerridwen is your gal! She's taken trips to the pet store and Manito Park; Cerridwen loves exploring new places and meeting new people (and she is a calm and relaxed car traveler). After a day of adventures, she is content to take a nap on her own in a quiet place.
Funny Cerridwen excels at playing on her own if the other pups are busy. She enjoys playing with squeaky toys and plushies, and she's not above trying to steal whatever her brother is currently playing with. Her new favorite things are ice cubes. She loves to chase them around, batting them about like a cat, until they melt away. When she hears the ice machine, she comes running! This Texas girl may find snow to be to her liking this winter.
Cerridwen is learning quickly as she settles into her foster home. She contentedly spends several hours at a time in her crate, and she sleeps through the night. Cerridwen is progressing through her potty and leash training and has begun obedience as well (which will be helped by the fact that food and treats might be her most favorite things after people and ice cubes).
Cerridwen's ideal home? Well, this lovely pup doesn't need a castle or fancy court to make her happy. She seeks a family that will love her as much and as loyally as she will love them. Lots of romping and walks and treats and snuggles and cuddles and pets would make her the happiest puppy ever. She would thrive in a home with kids, dogs, and dog-savvy cats. If this sounds like your home, Cerridwen is waiting for you!

Our adoption process sets us apart. We specialize in learning about you and your family to find just the right fit for you. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process.
Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs a year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations (when age appropriate) and deworming and heartworm treatment/prevention. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course.
Long Distance adopters (one hour or more from Spokane) may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250. Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers dogs throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon.
About Path of Hope Rescue
At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Our two employees and army of volunteers focus on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes.
We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment.
Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog's transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events.
