Meet Celia, a gorgeous 5 month old black mouth cur mix with a heart full of potential and a spirit eager to find her forever home. Celia's story starts with the same broken record of too many pups in the South being the result of people not spaying and neutering their pets! Her mom was a roaming neighborhood dog who gave birth to EIGHT puppies! Fortunately, a compassionate lady has been nurturing all eight of them since birth, and now we're on a mission to find each of them a loving family. Black mouth curs are renowned for their friendly and eager-to-please nature, making them ideal family dogs. Celia embodies these traits and more, promising to be a loyal and loving companion.

Celia is a bit shy initially but warms up quickly. We know once she feels safe with a loving family in a cozy home, she'll really start to blossom! Celia is great with other dogs and will do fine with dog-savvy kids who will give her time to adjust to a new place. She hasn't been tested with cats yet, but we can do some assessing if needed. Celia has been living outdoors with her siblings, enduring the Mississippi heat and elements, but she dreams of trading her rugged lifestyle for the comforts of a cozy home. Imagine her delight at experiencing the joy of napping on a soft couch for the first time! As with any new pet and since she's been living outdoors, Celia will need patient adopters to guide her through learning the rules and routines of indoor living. Since she's been living solely outside, we have selected not housetrained for her listing because we don't have further information on her. She's a smart girl and will likely catch on quickly.

The dog you are considering is located in South Mississippi. We conduct virtual meet and greets for out-of-town applicants and offer transport (the adoption fee includes transport to your location) to many neighboring and northeastern states. At this time we are not able to transport into Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

**We cannot guarantee breed mix or size once full grown. We make our best guess on breed based on any known family history and observable characteristics. We also do not know how big this puppy will grow. All eight siblings are quite large for 5 months, so we expect them to be BIG and could easily grow well over 60lbs.
