Meet Cedar
The time has come for Cedar to start the search for his forever family!
Anyone who has met this angel can’t believe he ever had his life at risk. He is such a precious soul.
Cedar came to our local shelter as a stray. He was quite underweight and nervous of people at first. He’s now starting to pack on the pounds and learning that he doesn’t need to be scared. He’s such a grateful bub and his foster mom is currently his favourite human.
Cedar is thought to be a year old. He’s just a baby. He’s been making lots of progress in his foster home but his biggest challenge is still his stranger danger, especially when it comes to men. It took him a little to come around to his foster dad but as you can see, they’re slowly becoming besties! Once he trusts you, you will not find a dog that loves you more. He does well with other animals. He would do best in a home that can provide structure and take things slow. He’s making progress with the crate. He will need someone willing to follow through with basic training, which his foster mom, Jordan, has already started. She also thinks he could work in a home with kids, with a slow intro and some time to gain his trust!
He’s a smoll boi and won’t be more than 50lbs at a healthy weight. He definitely has more of the Shepherd traits but we believe there’s some Husky in there with that curly tail! He walks well on leash. Like all dogs, he needs his exercise but he’s not super high energy.
Cedar is a snuggler and I think that’s his number one request for a family. He wants and deserves a life full of snuggles.
If you think you can provide Cedar the home he deserves, and all the snugs, please fill out an application on our website!
