Cash was adopted from SCHS in February 2022. We estimate he was born around 2019. His owner is seeking to rehome him due to his strong urge to chase wild critters. Cash will only go to a home with a fenced in yard for his safety. Electronic fences do not work for him. Please see what awesome things his current owner has to say.

"Cash is the epitome of happy go lucky and he loves to go! If you are looking for a good family dog, or a dog that loves to play and be your buddy, he’s the dog for the job! Open the car door, and he’s ready to jump in and go with you. He is house trained, and crate trained, but he’d rather sleep with you and watch tv with you on the couch. He walks well on a leash, shakes a paw, and loves to play fetch, but his favorite game is tug of war. Cash loves adults, children, other dogs, and gets along with cats, horses, and donkeys. He has gone to visit assisted living programs, after-school programs, and loves to visit the students at the local high school. Cash must go to a home with a fenced in yard as he gets easily distracted by deer, birds, and, of course, squirrels."

All dogs up for adoption are spayed or neutered and are heartworm tested and up to date on distemper, parvo, kennel cough and rabies vaccinations. We treat for worms and ear mites as well as flea and tick preventative.

We welcome visitors Tuesday evenings 4-7 p.m. Saturday mornings 9 a.m. to noon. Sundays 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. You may also schedule an appointment at a time that is more convenient for your schedule. Call 217-322-2220 if you have any questions or concerns.
