Carter Black Labrador Retriever & Husky Mix Scarborough, ON

Carter and Cooper found themselves in an unfortunate situation, ending up in a high-kill shelter in Quebec after their owner could no longer care for them. These two sweethearts had spent many years being loved and cared for in the warmth of their home. As their time was running out, a rescue organization stepped in to save Cooper, the cockapoo, but didn’t have space for his brother Carter.
When we heard the news, we knew we couldn’t let them be separated. The bond between them was too strong—after all, they’re the only family and sense of familiarity they have left. So, despite being full we welcomed them both into our rescue to ensure they stay together. They’ve received all the medical attention they need, and Cooper has now been neutered.
Both around seven years old, Carter and Cooper love all dogs and thrive on human companionship. They walk beautifully on a leash and would be happiest in a home where they can hang out together. They’re low-energy, have wonderful temperaments, and would love nothing more than to cuddle up for a belly rub.
These two truly are the perfect pair and deserve a second chance at a loving home. Could you be the one to give them that chance?
