Meet Caroline
Personality: independent, affectionate, smart, mischievous, calm, fearful/timid, playful, gentle, energetic, goofy/funny, and quiet.
Good times never seemed so good with sweet Caroline! She's a cuddler who is very gentle during play. Caroline's zoomies will get you giggling and are the only times you may hear her bark indoors. Plus, she reads your energy and knows whether it's time to play or to rest.
Caroline was found abandoned in a pumpkin patch in a rural area. After some time settling in with her foster, she has begun coming out of her shell. She is looking for a calm home in a quiet neighborhood, as she is fearful of many noises and the commotion in the city. Caroline loves other dogs and would do best in a home with another confident dog to show her the ropes.
A girl with both beauty and brains, Caroline quickly learned the purpose of pee pads. Ever polite, she loves greeting people with a handshake. She has also mastered words like "sit and "no. Though she prefers a pen to a crate, she is happy to hang out in her own area when left alone.

City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).
Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.
Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
