Yes, his former family knew where he was, but they did not come and reclaim him, his sister or their mother. So, now this precious puppy is temporarily stuck with the name.CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS until he can get adopted and find somebody to name him something more appropriate to his boyhood. He is estimated at 3 to 5 months of age and received his first set of puppy vaccines as soon as he arrived at the shelter. Staff also dewormed him then. That process can require several treatments with dewormers during their first year of life. So, when puppies get their second set of puppy vaccines in a couple of weeks after their arrival, staff automatically deworms again. That is, unless they are drowning in dogs and cats and are doing their best to get the animal kennels cleaned and get them fed every day. It takes brave, hard-working souls to work in animal shelters! Keep that in mind if you are a serious adopter and plan to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment to meet this precious boy. CAPTAIN still needs to be neutered before he can go home with you as your own. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared!
