Meet CAP'N JACK

**PLEASE BE SURE YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT WHEN REQUESTING AN APPLICATION!!**

4-20-24: Trouble on the high seas--seems that I am not peaking anyone's interest! I'm a good boy, I have great manners, on land and sea, and I have so much love to give you, so clear sailing ahead!! Please ask to meet me!!

3-15-24: AHOY MATEYS, CAP'N JACK here, and thank you for docking here to learn about me!! First off, let's start with how I got to this great rescue! You see, I was floatin' along the lazy river in my dingy, loving life, when I ran aground, and with my crew(my family) jumping ship, I found myself, a Spaniel mix, all alone, in uncharted territory. I left the dingy behind, and set off to find my way home. As luck would have it, I ended up at a wonderful horse farm, and there were just the nicest ladies there!! They cared for me, but it was clear I couldn't stay, as it was not the right environment for me, so they reached out to this rescue, and the rest, as they say, is history! My Foster Mom took me and I got an exam, found out I am 17 pounds, around 2 to 3 years old, got my vaccines, had a heartworm test that came back negative, and had my nails trimmed. Not bad for a salty young sea dog, huh?! I am neutered and micro chipped, so if I happen to crash my dingy again, people will know who I am!! My Foster Mom says I have the best manners, and I walk good on the leash, and will do best with a Martingale collar, as I tend to try to back out of the collar if I get scared. I am going to really need a fenced yard as if I get away from you, I am a little hard to catch. I do get very nervous when riding in the car, and I get a little sea sick, which is funny since I never got sick on my dingy!! Mom has crated me for car rides, and that's the best for me. I am great with other dogs being my first mates, but I do bark at horses and donkeys who were at the horse farm. I'm not sure how I would be with cats and children being part of my crew.
Well, hoping that I have peaked your interest in me, and will reach out to this rescue to meet me!

Looking forward to meeting you on the dock of the bay, where we will sail off in life together!!
Love,
CAP'N JACK
