Welcome sweet, beautiful Candy! She really is this gorgeous in person! (Or should we say, "in dog"?!!) Candy arrived recently from Wheeling, WV along with some other cuties who will be ready to meet their public soon. She is just recovering from her spay surgery and is proving to be quite the affectionate girl as she settles into the life of retirement. Meet Candy: A Loveable Bundle of Energy and Snuggles

Introducing Candy, a vibrant 5-year-old girl with a penchant for affection and a personality that fills the room. Since her retirement from racing, Candy has blossomed into a lively and affectionate companion, eager to share her heart and her upbeat energy.

Candy has a huge heart for cuddles and isn't shy about asking for them. She can be quite rambunctious and persistent when seeking out pets, often adopting her favorite "roaching" position to entice you to give her those much-loved belly rubs.

She's mastered the art of lounging on the couch and tends to glue herself to your side, reveling in continuous attention. This close proximity is also a strategic choice, as Candy is known to indulge in a bit of mischief if she wanders out of sight—even for a second!

While she's embraced many comforts of home life, Candy still expresses her dislike for her crate, often protesting when it's time to be put up. Her charmingly lopsided ears add to her goofy and endearing appearance, enhancing her expressive face and playful antics.

Candy's love for sprints in the yard remains undiminished, showcasing her zest for life and her athletic past. She's curious about toys and has a special affection for bones, which provide both entertainment and a tasty treat. RIP to her flamingo stuffed animal toy...

Candy would be a perfect fit for a home that loves energy and enthusiasm as much as quiet affection. She thrives on close contact and would do best with a family willing to indulge her snuggle needs and keep a watchful eye on her playful exploits.

Here at Greyt Angels we LOVE all the support and interest in our available hounds! We are currently expanding our adoptions outside of our 3-hour-radius from Goshen, IN. If your location is outside of the 3-hour-radius, you have previous greyhound/sighthound experience and have the support of a local greyhound adoption group near you, we encourage you to apply with Greyt Angels to place an available hound in your home.

Greyt Angels will continue to place hounds with new greyhound owners within the 3-hour-radius; that will remain unchanged. We are excited about our radius expansion so that fellow greyhound owners can enjoy the company of the sighthound breed we all love and support.
