This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.

Meet Camy Cupcake - a 5 year old, Yellow Lab / Husky mix, who weighs 45 pounds (as of 1/19/25). Camy Cupcake was found with 4 other pups after being abandoned by their owners. Poor Camy Cupcake was left in horrible conditions - outside with no food, water or shelter. We are so happy we found her when we did, and know she will make one person or family incredibly happy!

Her foster shares: "Camy Cupcake is incredibly affectionate once she warms up to you and comes out of her shell! She can be shy when first meeting strangers, but once she feels comfortable she is so sweet and friendly.
She loves being around other pups and wants to play 24/7. She's currently living with our older children (who are in middle and high school), and does great with them. She has also been exposed to cats since entering our care, and unfortunately she tries to chase them, so would be best in a cat-free home! She is housebroken and has not had any accidents. She's an amazing pup who is looking for a forever family to call her own!"

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
