Meet Callie
Posted 4/15/2024
This is Callie and she is what’s known as a “love bug.” Technically, she’s some kind of Boxer/Terrier mix (total guess), approximately 7 months old now. Callie is small-medium size, about 35lbs, but so far she is all legs, ears and head.
Callie’s favorite activities include pretending she doesn’t know “sit” and “down” so she gets more cookies; running around in the yard with her foster dog brothers and using her entire body to try to win wrestle mania; going for walks, even though she regularly gets tangled up in the leash; and taking naps in the most awkward positions possible, as long as she’s snuggled up with you or another dog. Callie is a very playful pup and seems to do well with every dog she’s met. Callie also likes to “jump scare” the cats in her foster home, but has yet to chase them. She might do well with a dog-savvy cat.
Callie’s least favorite activities include car rides, as they make her drool A LOT, but she’s never gotten sick; crate time…which is improving because that’s where she gets the special treats and chews, so it’s growing on her; and bath time, but that’s growing on her too because she gets a lickit mat with peanut butter and yogurt, and a warm towel afterwards.
Callie’s ideal home would be one where her person or people work from home or maybe take her to doggie daycare. Callie would LOVE to have another dog around to play with, but as long as you promise to play with her and teach her lots of things, she’ll be happy! She’d also like a family that will take her on lots of walks!
Please consider Callie as your next furry family member if you love to walk and have the time and energy needed to keep up with a young dog like Callie
