Meet Calista

Welcome Calista. Calista is a 1 year old Shar Pei mix that currently weighs about 30 pounds. She was found as a stray and probably had some time where she didn’t have good nutrition so this allowed her immune system to dip and she got Demodex (the non contagious mange). It is easily treatable and she is doing so well on the treatment and her hair is all growing back. She is a loveable, affectionate and a very gentle girl. She is good with cats, other dogs and all people she has met. She responds well to a soft touch and affection. She has the eyelids that lashes are turned in and our Director has let us know she will get that taken care of before adoption. It will require a surgery called Entropion Eye surgery. We are looking for a wonderful family for this gem. You would be willing to wait about 6 weeks for us to get her ready to leave. She is well worth the wait and will make some lucky family a great companion. She can be adopted on the East or West Coast. Her adoption fee is 170 and transport is 185.
