Meet Cairo
Cairo is a beautiful black lab mix who is just over a year old. She came to us as a stray from Pasco County Animal Services in early October. She had been hit by a car and suffered multiple fractures in her pelvis and back leg. Her fractures have been surgically repaired, but she is still currently on cage rest as she heals.
Once she fully heals, she will be an active, young dog. She is very friendly, and her forever family will need to ensure that her level of activity does not exacerbate her previous injuries. Her family will need to ensure she stays on top of annual vet exams and be mindful that she may deal with future orthopedic conditions like arthritis.
Cairo is around 40 lbs full grown, which makes her the perfect addition for a family looking for a loving, medium-sized dog.
