Meet Cady
Hi, there! My name is Cady, and I am a one-year old Border Collie Mix who weighs 40.5 pounds. I am a super sweet girl who is also quite skittish and fearful. Due to this, I'll need a secure, fenced yard and will require supervision and extra caution near open doors/gates. I would do best in a home with children over the age of 10 years old, young kids tend to make me nervous.
I am also already house trained and crate trained. I respond very well to redirection, and just need reminders to chew on things that are mine. I enjoy toys and treats so much! I am pretty quiet, and only bark outside or when I want my canine foster siblings to play with me. I previously fractured my back right leg and hold it up frequently, but it never slows me down! I walk and jump on it just fine, but I tend to hold it up when I'm standing still. I would love to have a confident and friendly canine pal in my forever home to continue to show me the ropes.
Cady's Foster Dad shared:
"Cady is still a puppy at heart! She remains fearful but has grown more accustomed to and trusting of us. She is a beautiful dog - probably a border collie mix. I would expect she would enjoy frisbee catching. She is generally quiet and does very well with our other 2 dogs. At first, Cady had no idea what a leash was, but she has improved and now she loves going on walks, though she still pulls and would benefit from more practice with her leash skills."
I promise with a little bit of peanut butter and a lot of love I'll be your best friend in no time! Her minimum adoption fee is $295 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.
She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
