Cade Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Mix Parkville, MO

Cade is a delightful mix of energy and relaxation, making him the perfect companion for both active and laid-back households. When he’s around other dogs, he lights up with playful enthusiasm, bouncing around and engaging in fun games. However, when he’s on his own, he transforms into a calm, easygoing pup who enjoys the simple pleasures of life. One of Cade's favorite activities is going for walks—he loves exploring the world around him and taking in all the sights and smells. But at home, he’s all about comfort. His ideal spot is curled up on his warming pad, a stuffed toy tucked beside him—though it may not stay intact for long! Cade loves to tear up toys, finding great joy in shredding them to pieces. Cade is a social butterfly, making friends with every dog and human he meets. He’s incredibly friendly and enjoys playing with my dogs, showing great enthusiasm but occasionally wearing out his welcome. He does have a naturally curious side. He’s shown some interest in chasing a cat, which may simply be curiosity rather than strong prey drive. Similarly, he’s quite intrigued by babies, so a home without small children would be best—not because he’s aggressive, but simply because his curiosity might be overwhelming for little ones. Health-wise, He’s got some chronic GI issues that he’s under the care of the vet for.

Currently, he’s on a prescription food that costs approximately $200 a month. We do not have a true diagnosis at this time. He’s been handling the process like a champ, remaining his sweet and loving self throughout. With his combination of playfulness, friendliness, and gentle nature, Cade would thrive in a home that appreciates both his fun-loving spirit and his cozy, laid-back side. He’s truly a special boy looking for a place where he can be loved and cherished!
