Buttons is a 4.5 month old male Beagle mix. From his foster-“Are you in need of a loyal companion? A shadow? Someone who will be absolutely obsessed with you and keep you warm at night? Let me tell you about Buttons! He is a Velcro pup and wants nothing more than to be with his person. He enjoys snuggling under blankets and loves being the little spoon! Buttons is incredibly smart, loves to learn new tricks and picks them up very quickly. So far he has learned “sit, down, up, paw, high five, spin, turn, heel and front!” He also responds to “off and leave it” as well as a stern “no.” He is a medium energy pup, corrects easily, walks well on a leash and he’s doing very well with potty training. We’re working on some crate sensitivity but he does sleep through the night outside of his crate with no accidents. Buttons is timid of new dogs and takes some time to warm up to them. He’s a vocal boy when he’s excited or nervous. He loves playing with our dog, loves our 3 cats and has been very gentle with kids. Not to mention, have you seen this cute man’s face? What a stud! Your puppy has not been spayed/neutered. Upon adoption of your unaltered puppy you have agreed to have it spayed/neutered and pay a $200 refundable deposit. At time of adoption you will be required to complete the mandatory spay and neuter contract. No exceptions. You must fully comply with the terms of the adoption and spay/neuter agreement. If you do not fully comply, we reserve our rights as you will have voided the contract, at which time we will start the process of taking our puppy back at any time for non-compliance. This is very important to us as a dog rescue, if this is at all a concern for you, please consider adopting an already altered pup/dog.

We have a list of lower cost programs we can provide. If your veterinarian will not spay by 6 months of age, adopter agrees to have LPR bring the dog to a clinic of our choice. If you do not fully comply with this spay/neuter agreement, all rights and ownership of the dog by Adopter will terminate and the dog will be returned to LPR. The Adopter will pay any legal or other fees LPR incurs in the process of repossessing the dog, and $500 in damages.

Spay/Neuter Deposit: If your puppy is too young to be spayed or neutered by LPR, the adopter will pay the complete adoption fee of $600.00 at the time of adoption. Adopter will also pay a $200 deposit, which will be refunded to the adopter, along with up to a $100 reimbursement of the adoption fee, upon proof of the spay/neuter of the dog before 6 months of age from a licensed veterinarian. Proof must be submitted to LPR not more than thirty (30) days after the date of the spay/neuter.

Want to Adopt? 1) Fill out an application on theluckypuppy.org The adoption fees for puppies up to 12 months are a minimum donation of $600, (dogs too young to be fixed will have an extra $200 deposit, refundable pending your spay/neuter agreement), 1 year and up are a minimum donation of $500, 7+ years or special needs are a minimum $400 donation 2) Once your application is in, our adoption coordinator will contact you and complete a vet check and home visit (possibly electronic). 3) Once approved, please schedule a meet and greet to see the dogs. This pup is available in NY through the Go North Program of The Lucky Puppy Rescue, rescue based in Bonifay and Panama City, FL and adoption center in Argyle NY (NY Lic #1054). The minimum donation $600 adoption fee includes transportation from FL to NY, spay/neuter surgery or spay/neuter agreement (if too young), up to date with: age appropriate vaccinations, de-worming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention (if old enough) and martingale safety collar.
